On Monday, October 1, 2012, The Presidential Event will take place from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Boxed lunches will be provided. A ticket is needed to attend this event. There is no charge for this event. Attendance is limited so register early to ensure a spot.
Professor Bassam Z. Shakhashiri, President of ACS, and Cathleen Crudden, President of CSC, will participate along with other guests in a round table discussion. Topic to be announced.
Professor Richard Hartmann, Nazareth College, will serve as moderator.
On Monday evening, October 1, 2012, the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society will honor members with 50 and 60 years of membership. Regional and Local Awards will also be recognized. Our guest speaker will be Professor Bassam Z. Shakhashiri, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and President of ACS. Reservations are required at the time of registration.
Dinner selections are Chicken French,Vegetable Lasagna or Tilapia Florentine. The cost is $35.

Doug Postl, LCMS Product Specialist for Agilent Technologies, will present "Software For Pathway Focused Multi-Omics Analysis". Agilent Technologies have developed data analysis tools and workflows to facilitate the analysis of metabolomics, genomics and proteomics data in a new Integrated Biology software. We expect these tools and workflows will lead to a better understanding of the biological system under study.
On Tuesday, October 2, 2012, we will celebrate the 100 year anniversary for Rochester, New Haven and Maine sections.
We will celebrate this event from 3:00-3:30 pm with ice cream and cupcakes. There is no charge for this event.
The Harrison Howe Banquet will take place on Tuesday, October 2 starting at 5;30 pm in the Riverview Ballroom. Our 2012 Harrison Howe Winner, Professor Xiaoliang Sunney Xie (Mallinckrodt Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Harvard University) will speak following dinner. Reservations are required at the time of registration.
Dinner selections are Chicken Rochester, Prime Rib of Beef, or Vegetable Wellington. The cost is $40.
