Presidential Event, October 1, 2012

The International Activities Committee (IAC) sponsored a Presidential luncheon with Professor Shakhashiri, 2012 President of the American Chemical Society, and Professor Cathleen Crudden, 2012 President of the Canadian Society of Chemistry.  The panel discussion focused on "The Collaborating Role of Chemistry in Our Societies". Professor Thomas W. Smith, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Professor Deryn Fogg, University of Ottawa, also participated in the panel discussion.  Professor Richard Hartmann acted as moderator.




100 Year Anniversary Celebration, October 2, 2012

Rochester, New Haven and Maine Sections of the American Chemical Society celebrated their 100 year anniversary at NERM 2012 with an ice cream and cupcake social.
